The Fujikura CT16 Cleaver, with a dual fiber adapter plate for single or two fiber cleaving, is designed for FTTH or other space constrained applications: small cell site, FTTx drops and terminations, MDF/IDF splices and terminations, as well as rural fiber deployments and restorations. It allows cleaving two bare fibers simultaneously when paired with the dual fiber stripper, the SS-05. The tool can be easily adjusted for left or right-handed operation by swapping the scrap collector and fiber adapter. The thumbwheel on the bottom is convenient for blade rotations. Open the top lever to view, clean and adjust the cleave length. Close it to activate the blade for scoring the fiber. This unit is shock resistant for drops up to 30" in any of six different orientations.

The CT16 one-step fiber cleaver includes: FDB-06 scrap collector, AD-16A fiber adapter, hex wrench (1.5 mm), instruction and carry case.

A fiber holder is optional and is not included with this cleaver. FH-70 series fiber holders and CB-09 replacement cleaver blade can be purchased separately.

Notes:

  1. When the cleave length is less than 10mm, the coating diameter should be 250um or less. Also, a blade height adjustment is required before cleaving. The average cleave angle is worse than the speciffcation above when the cleave length is less than 10mm.
  2. Measured with an interferometer at room temperature, no with a splicer. A new blade was used to cleave the single fi The average cleave angle changes depending on the environmental conditions, blade condition, operating method, and cleanliness.
  3. The blade life changes depending on the environmental conditions, operating method, and the fiber type cleaved.
  4. Measured with the top lever closed.
